attention to detail

I completed all the tasks, attached a hard copy of my NYTimes article, wrote an essay that was basically a transcription of an earlier Planet Money episode, handed it in late, and got 14/14!

Apparently, my SE came to the attention of Eduardo himself; my tutor 'couldn't bring herself' to hit me with the 20% late fee and asked him for a waiver. He read it and agreed.

It is important to note that this all happened behind my back.

Probably for the best, though. I got 14/27 for the mid-session test (to be fair, I lost 4 marks because I started reading the questions on the second page but answering for the first. fucking multiple choice!)

Now, I know you're about to reach for a calculator to figure out how I'm going so far scaled to a final mark -- no need! Eduardo extends his principle of no-math economics to the course structure: the SE is weighted 14% and mid-session test 27%. Adios!

AS IF being the webmaster of a successful blog was not enough of a distraction from my undergraduate duties, Señor Pol is making it especially hard to get started on this commerce essay due this afternoon. I would need to employ an entire army of dudes slapping their
foreheads to adequately express my rukidnao with parts of the guidelines.

Firstly, his obsession with a hard copy of the 'current article' reminds me of the elderly women that run the op-shop in 'League of Gentleman', with their plastic bags...[sicii his]:

"Each student is required to find a 'current article' related to topical material from the course textbook and write a Short Essay (SE).

• A 'current article' means an article published within the last 6 months, counted from the SE due date.
  
• You have to provide a legible photocopy of the 'current article' which includes the date of publication of your selected relevant 'current article'.
  
• If you do not attach a photocopy of the 'current article', your SE will be returned with a zero mark. If you resubmit your SE with a copy of the relevant 'current article', your SE will be marked out of 7 (not out of 14).
• Attach the 'current article' to avoid disappointment.
• You can use Internet resources, but you have to attach a hard copy of the article to your SE.
• Journal articles are not acceptable."

Then, there is matter of what the SE might be expected to contain. Not much guidance on content, I'm afraid, but the procedures are ramrod clear:

• "You have to make an 'original point' (see below Original Point).
  
• Finally, you have to make clear your 'original point' by writing in the text of your SE:

"My original point is this:..."

There is more, but I'll just provide this screen shot of the marking scheme (below). By the way, the essay is limited to 800 words.
