Waiting at the University train station for the first time in a while,
and I notice what must a new 'Welcome to Wuni' billboard with what is
obviously an artist's impression of a quite charming building that I'm
certain does not exist anywhere on campus. The Wuniness!

getting closer to hauling the perfect carillon

Love how art-deco that is. Bringing the Newtown ruckus to the carillon world!
Just wrapped up a very decent trip hanging out in oxford. The conference beforehand was so enjoyable that it gave me serious pause for thought about ditching the academic lifestyle. The visit to oxford took that thought out back and Dooleyed it with extreme prejudice. (see http://unterspier.blogspot.com/2009/09/immediate-improvement.html)
